Support the great work of the Cooperative Feeding Program
The Cooperative Feeding Program has been serving the working poor, families in need, children, the elderly and homeless in our community for nearly 25 years. Uninterrupted. Around the clock. Every day. And on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Especially on the holidays.
Families and individuals come to the Cooperative Feeding Program for the food they need. But they soon discover that we offer a lot more than just food. We care. We connect those in need help with those who can help.
Our focus is on quality of life for children, the homebound and the elderly. We work with the homeless and the families living at the edge of homelessness. Preventing those on the edge from becoming homeless is one of our primary concerns.
We save lives every day. Day in and day out. They come by the hundreds. Every day. Discouraged, distressed, weak in spirit. We extend hand and heart to all who enter our doors. They find here a loving heart, a hearty meal, a safe environment. Counseling when they’re ready, guidance if they want it and work opportunities.
We educate, advocate and find solutions to hunger, poverty and homelessness in our community. For many we are the bridge that helps folks find their way out of despair to a life of hope and a vision to the future.
They leave changed. Some are changed forever. The CFP offers comprehensive, holistic solutions all under one roof. Our response and outcomes are unparalleled.
We are proud of our distinguished, award winning past. Because of our very special approach, we believe we are one of the premier institutions of our kind in the nation. We have established in this community an extraordinary record of service.
Working with a $1.9 million budget, 63% being in-kind donations, and with an administrative cost of about 7%, we are putting your money directly into food, services and programs for the most needy amongst us. Each month serves over 500 hot meals per day and distributes over 6,000 lbs of emergency food provisions daily. Last year, we served over 1.3 million meals and provided important services to over 81,000 individuals and 30,000 families living out their worst nightmare.
We are a special place that has the capacity to undertake the challenges and offer solutions. Our services assist the working poor and their children, the elderly on fixed incomes, and the sick and the disabled and the best part, 100% of our services are at no cost- ever!
But it is to the future we look for our greatest achievements. What we envision is beyond anything of the past. That is why this program is so important to you and with your help we will either find a way or make one.
